Everyone made it home safe, sound, tired and refreshed. Many more photos in the multimedia section of the website.
While on the 2012 Montana retreat, the group did a little geocaching. Geocaching is essentially a scavenger / treasure hunt using a handheld GPS with the goal of finding the geocache, logging it and leaving it for the next person. No real treasure except for the chance to see new places, meet new people, and get some exercise. Additional information is on WWW.Geocaching.com.
One feature of geocaching is ‘Travel Bugs’. Travel bugs are a unique tracking number attached to a trinket with a goal. When a geocacher finds a travel bug they are able to take it with them (without leaving an equal valued item) to help it along its mission. In each of the 4 new geocaches the group helped place / find in the Athelas ‘backyard’ a travel bug was placed.
A travel bug was placed in each of 4 new geocaches the group helped place/find in the Athelas ‘backyard. We have a page to follow the trip each of the travel bugs are taking. https://ourredeemerquincy.org/?page_id=363633

Arrived in Whitefish Montana late Tuesday evening. Wednesday and Thursday included horseback riding, hiking and camp activities. Friday the group hiked another mountain, had a trip to the swimming hole at a waterfall. Saturday: hikes, rock climbing, and a dance. Sunday morning, getting ready for worship. Each day has included several bible stuidies, and talks. The group is having a great time (and no injuries outside of a few scrapes, cuts, bruises.)
